The trail had been brush-hogged in the past, but stumps and uneven ground made it rough to travel. Saplings and brush were creeping back in, narrowing the path. The forestry mulcher ground the stumps and remaining brush down to the dirt, leaving a smooth, level trail that's easy to walk, ride, or drive. A clean lane through the woods that will hold up far longer than a brush-hog pass.
